Summary
Performs a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble and potentially troubleshoot, precision electro-mechanical systems and/or mechanical assemblies where methods and sequences of assembly are clearly written and described or pictured.

Possible Responsibilities during and after training
  • Assemble mechanical or electrical parts
  • Cable and harness production including wire crimping and cutting, visual inspection of parts, soldering, routine preventive maintenance
  • Reading and interpreting basic drawings, materials lists and operating procedures
  • Work with a team to assemble entire products or components
  • Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and parts
  • Prepare finished products for shipment
  • Operate various production assembly machines and may use hand tools to assemble products
  • Early morning shift; possible swing shift work starting mid afternoon



 

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly or other related fields not required
  • High School Diploma, GED or vocational diploma desired but not required
  • Basic English and quantitative skills desired
  • Some mechanical aptitude and understanding
  • Willingness and to use tools and related equipment
  • Ability to work well in teams
