Job Description:

We are looking for a PROJECT MANAGER to conduct a study of older Latinos in the Bay Area. The project manager should be fluent in English and Spanish (reading and writing), empathic, friendly, organized and trustworthy. The manager will help with recruitment and will interview study participants in their homes. If available, the researcher will also help with analyzing data. We will provide all the training and support. It is possible to work remotely. This is a great position for a career in academia. This is a 60% (3 days a week variable) contract position ending October 31, 2019 (with likely extension). Please click here to apply for the position.

 

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Fluent in Spanish
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Windows
• Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; project management and coordination skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines on concurrent projects
• Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
• Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
• Ability to establish excellent working relationships with investigators, community contacts, study participants, and other team members
• Ability to assist in writing and editing manuscripts with PI
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, independent, empathic
• Familiar with the Latino American community of the Bay Area

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
